RESSOURCE RIVERAINE - Griffintown, Montreal

Ressource riveraine is an urban design project that aims at reuniting the citizens of Griffintown and encouraging them to discover all that their neighbourhood has to offer. Pointe-des-Seigneurs is an archeological site with a rich history closely linked to the industrialisation of the Lachine Canal. It is also home to most of the working horses that are seen in Old Montreal. The site in question, located right beside the Saint-Gabriel Lock, offers a great deal of historical, natural and cultural interest.

Our goal was to create a meeting place for people of all ages to discover, share and unwind. Our proposal is centered on a series of walkways and platforms that connect points of interest located on either side of the outlet canal, including a year-round outdoor market, a community garden, an interpretation center, a new and improved stable and enclosure as well as an outdoor bistro.
