Entre Deux Eaux is a research center and inn located in the Laurentian Mountains, near Mont-Tremblant. Embedded in a cliff, surrounded by water, the building is shaped by its environment, while remaining distinct in its appearance. The notions of balance and metamorphosis were inherent in the project's development. The translucent facade envelops the interior spaces and reaches for the sky. Circulation and distribution inside and outside were made to be fluid and intuitive.
South facing rooms, natural ventilation shafts, hydroelectric turbines and solar panels were integrated in order to minimize the building's energy consumption and allow it be off-grid.
Done in collaboration with Christophe Aubry and Sébastien Bergeron
